Terms of Use and Account Terms

Version 1.1 · Effective 29 September 2026 · Governing law: the laws of England and Wales

These Terms govern your use of Eurabelt Fuels Global Statistics, including its website, data API, embedded data blocks, feeds and member services. Please read them carefully. By using the service you agree to them. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1. About us and these Terms

1.1 Eurabelt Fuels Global Statistics (the “Service”) is operated by Eurabelt Fuels Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16639303, whose registered office is at 11 Clothier House, Kinveachy Gardens, London, SE7 8EF (“Eurabelt”, “we”, “us”).

1.2 Eurabelt acts as custodian of the Service: it admits official sources, retrieves and verifies their published data, and presents it with full provenance. Eurabelt does not author the underlying statistics, which remain the work of the publishers named with each figure.

1.3 These Terms consist of: (a) Part I, which applies to every user; and (b) Part II, which additionally applies to account holders. Member organisations granted Institutional or Sovereign/Enterprise access are also bound by the additional member terms provided to them in their member space, which prevail over these Terms where they conflict.

2. Definitions

3. Nature of the Service — information only

3.1 The Service reproduces official statistics and derived calculations computed transparently from them. It does not provide investment, trading, financial, legal, tax, engineering or regulatory advice, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation to enter into any transaction.

3.2 Eurabelt publishes no forecasts, opinions, ratings or commentary of its own. Where a publisher's official projection is shown, it is labelled as that publisher's projection.

3.3 Eurabelt is not a party to, and does not arrange, negotiate or execute, any commercial transaction between users. Users make their own decisions using their own advisers.

3.4 You are responsible for deciding whether data is suitable for your purpose, and for consulting the original publication where a decision depends on it. Each figure links to its publisher.

4. Source Data and publishers' rights

4.1 Source Data remains subject to its publisher's rights and terms, which are listed for every source in the Sources Reference Guide. When you reuse Source Data, you must comply with those terms, including their attribution requirements.

4.2 Where a publisher makes its data available free of charge (for example the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the International Monetary Fund, UNdata or the World Bank), that data remains freely available from the publisher. Access to the Service confers no exclusive rights in it.

4.3 The presence of a publisher's data in the Service does not mean that the publisher endorses Eurabelt, the Service or any user. You must not state or imply such an endorsement.

5. Access tiers and eligibility

The public pages of the Service are open to everyone without an account. Memberships are available only to verified organisations — companies, public bodies and intergovernmental organisations — through named individual accounts, in accordance with the Membership & Registration Policy. No company, no registration: accounts for private individuals, and requests using free, personal, ISP or disposable email services, are refused.

5.1 Tier features may be introduced progressively. The features actually available to you are those shown in your account.

5.2 Every account starts as a request, is confirmed by email and is approved by a custodian before it is created. We may refuse or withdraw an account where verification cannot be completed, where information supplied is inaccurate, or where the law requires it.

6. Licence to use Public Content

6.1 You may view, download, cite and reproduce Public Content, including in commercial work, provided that you:

  1. keep the publisher attribution shown with the data and comply with the publisher's terms;
  2. cite the Service as follows: “Source: [publisher], [dataset]; compiled by Eurabelt Fuels Global Statistics, retrieved [date].”;
  3. do not alter figures, or, where you transform them, state the transformation clearly; and
  4. do not present Public Content as your own statistics or as endorsed by Eurabelt or by the publisher.

6.1A Public Eurabelt Publications articles may be quoted and shared, with attribution to “Eurabelt Publications, Eurabelt Fuels Global Statistics” and a link to the article, under the Editorial Standard. Articles released only to members are Premium Content and may not be redistributed outside the member's organisation.

6.2 Eurabelt data blocks (embeds) may be placed on websites only in the unmodified form supplied, with the attribution line intact.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  1. use automated means to extract content other than through the published API and feeds, or exceed published rate limits;
  2. share credentials or Tokens, or allow anyone other than a named Seat to use an organisation's access;
  3. circumvent access controls, watermarking, rate limits or security measures, or probe or test the Service's security other than under our responsible disclosure policy;
  4. introduce malicious code, or interfere with the operation of the Service;
  5. misrepresent data, its source or its reference period, or use the Service to mislead any market, authority or person;
  6. use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation or breach of sanctions; or
  7. use the Eurabelt name, the Custodial Order emblem or the Service's branding except to cite the Service as permitted in clause 6.

8. Sanctions and export controls

8.1 You must not access or use the Service, and we will not provide it, where doing so would breach sanctions or export-control laws applicable to Eurabelt or to you. This includes the sanctions of the United Nations Security Council, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States.

8.2 By opening an account you confirm that you, your organisation and, to your knowledge, its owners and controllers are not designated or otherwise the target of such sanctions.

8.3 We screen account holders at onboarding, at renewal and when sanctions lists change. We may suspend access immediately, without liability, where screening indicates a possible match, pending review.

9. Accuracy, availability and corrections

9.1 Source Data is reproduced as published, with its reference period and retrieval date. Errors or revisions in Source Data are the responsibility of the publisher and are reflected when the publisher releases them.

9.2 If Eurabelt's own processing introduces an error, we correct it and record the correction in the corrections register described in the Methodology.

9.3 Under our currency rule, where a source has not been verified within its stated schedule, affected content is withheld rather than displayed out of date.

9.4 We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, except as set out in the service levels confirmed to a Sovereign/Enterprise member. We may carry out maintenance, preferably outside peak hours, and will give notice of planned downtime to subscribers where reasonably practicable.

10. Intellectual property

10.1 Eurabelt and its licensors own all rights in Eurabelt Content, including copyright, database rights in compilations resulting from substantial investment, and rights in the Eurabelt name and Custodial Order emblem.

10.2 Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or the additional member terms, no licence is granted to Eurabelt Content.

11. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy and Cookie Notice.

12. Liability

12.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of consumers.

12.2 Subject to clause 12.1, Eurabelt is not liable for: any indirect or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or anticipated savings; or trading losses. Nor is it liable for loss arising from decisions made in reliance on the Service, from errors in Source Data, or from unavailability of the Service.

12.3 Subject to clause 12.1, Eurabelt's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to: (a) for T0 and T1 users, one hundred pounds sterling (£100); and (b) for T2 and T3 member organisations, the limit stated in the additional member terms.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access immediately where: you materially breach these Terms; clause 8 applies; security or fraud requires it; or a court or regulator requires it. On termination, the licences granted to you end. The following clauses survive termination: 4, 6 (for content already lawfully reproduced), 10, 12 and 23 to 26.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes adverse to T2 and T3 member organisations take effect as set out in the additional member terms, and in any case not before at least 30 days' notice. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect. The current version and its effective date are always shown at the top of this page.

Part II — Account Terms

Clauses 15 to 22 apply to account holders.

15. Accounts, verification and security

15.1 You must provide accurate information and keep it current. We verify the organisation, its website and email domain, and your employment or office at the organisation, as described in the Membership & Registration Policy. Each account belongs to one named individual and must not be shared.

15.2 Accounts are protected by an authenticator app. You sign in with your registered company email address and the 6-digit code from your authenticator; the Service does not use member passwords and provides no password or account reset. If you lose access to your authenticator, a custodian may, after verifying your identity with your organisation, issue a single-use re-enrolment link to your registered address.

15.3 You must keep your authenticator device secure, never disclose your codes, and tell us immediately of any loss or suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity under your account until you have told us.

15.4 Your organisation must tell us promptly when you leave it or no longer require access. Your access ends when your employment or office ends or your company email address ceases to be valid.

15.5 Tokens, when issued, are shown once, may be rotated or revoked at any time, expire as stated in your account, and must be sent only in the HTTP Authorization header.

16. Licence to use Premium Content

16.1 Subject to these Terms and the additional member terms, we grant each member organisation entitled to Premium Content a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence for its named Seats to access and use Premium Content for its internal business purposes while that entitlement lasts.

16.2 You must not redistribute, publish, resell, sublicense or make Premium Content available to third parties. You may include limited extracts in internal reports and in communications with your professional advisers or regulators. Any external redistribution requires a separate written redistribution licence.

16.3 Restricted-Licensed Content is additionally subject to the upstream licence terms notified to you. If an upstream licence ends, the affected content is withdrawn on that date.

16.4 Premium exports carry an invisible member-specific watermark, which you must not remove or alter.

17. Usage records and audit

We keep records of access, Token use, exports and entitlement changes to operate and secure the Service and to enforce licences. T2 member organisations may request their organisation's access log; T3 member organisations may view it in their dashboard.

18. Service levels (T3)

Service levels, support hours, delivery endpoints, data-residency commitments and any service credits are confirmed individually to each Sovereign/Enterprise member. No service level applies to other tiers.

19. Indemnity (organisations)

A member organisation will indemnify Eurabelt against third-party claims, and against fines imposed on Eurabelt, arising from the organisation's breach of clauses 7, 8 or 16.

20. Events beyond our control

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including the unavailability of a publisher's service. If such an event lasts longer than 60 days, either party may end the affected access.

21. Notices

We send notices to the email address on your account. You send notices to stats@eurabeltfuels.com, or to our registered office. Notices take effect on receipt during business hours in London.

22. Public-sector and intergovernmental members

Where a member organisation is a public authority or intergovernmental body, these Terms apply subject to any mandatory rules of procurement, audit, freedom of information or immunity that bind it. The parties will record any such variation in writing. Nothing in these Terms waives any privilege or immunity.

23. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in its courts. The additional member terms may specify a different forum or arbitration for Sovereign/Enterprise members.

24. General

24.1 These Terms, together with any additional member terms, are the entire agreement on their subject matter. 24.2 If any provision is held invalid, the rest remains in force. 24.3 A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. 24.4 You may not assign your rights without our consent. We may assign ours to a successor to the Service on notice. 24.5 No third party has rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce these Terms. 24.6 If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails.
